If you are not praying for your child, Who Is?

As students head back to school covering them with prayer is the best way to protect their hearts and minds from the many temptations that they will face. Just as we spend time preparing them with new school clothes, books, pencils, etc., there also needs to be an intentional time set aside to pray to God concerning their spiritual, emotional, physical and mental well-being. Getting together to pray with other moms provides a network of strength and support. Our faith increases as we hear the believing prayers of others. There is a sweet sense of God's presence and power as mothers unite in prayer. Matthew 18:19-20 We must take seriously the mandate to, "Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children." Lamentations 2:19. I believe our children and schools will be transformed as mothers take time out from their busy schedules to pray. If you are not praying for your children, who is?

Join Moms in Touch prayer group Mondays 8:30AM-9:30AM in Rm. 2.
