SAT10 Achievement Testing Results
We give the SAT10 each spring. Our hope is that this report helps clarify the performance of ACS students on this standardized test.

Perspective: It is important to evaluate any school’s scores on what they truly represent. All schools have curriculum that can only be partially represented on these tests. All students are asked to independently respond to a small sampling of questions without any assistance. Our results are very exemplary, but they can only give us a partial evaluation of our program. Caution must be shown to not place too much significance on standardized test scores.  Scores are more reliable in communicating school performance in 7th and 8th grade as students complete our Preschool - 8th grade curriculum.

Spring 2008: Reported as Grade Equivalent. This score is a median score (half of each grade level scored higher, half scored lower.) What does grade equivalent mean? As an example, the 7th grade reading score of 10.8 means that our middle 7th graders got the same number correct as would be expected of a mid-range 10th grader at 8 months into their year. However this does not mean the 7th grader is ready to do 10th grade work. Our scores tend to be 1-2 years above grade level in grades 3-6, and 2-3 years above grade level in grades 7-8.

Our admissions policy is to accept students from Christian families that are able to successfully accomplish grade level work.  We work to provide suitable lessons for all ability levels.
