ARTS PROGRAMS AT ACS

The Music and Arts Program at Arcadia Christian School explores and engages the diversity of talents within each individual student. Developing each student as a whole person, the Arts Program imparts a joy for participating in God’s creative work by providing opportunities to use art to think critically and solve problems creatively, to develop aural and visual literacy, to develop one’s creative expression, and to embark on a life-long journey of learning and discovery.

Fine Arts Program

The Arts Program at Arcadia Christian School explores and engages the diversity of talents within each individual student. Special Events

Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Annual Art  Festival – District-wide event in which student-submitted artwork in grades k-8 is evaluated and awarded ribbons for recognition.

Performing Arts

The Performing  Arts Program at Arcadia Christian School explores and engages the diversity of talents within each individual student. Developing each student as a whole person, the Performing Arts Program imparts a joy for participating in God’s creative work by providing opportunities to use music and/or art to think critically and solve problems creatively, to develop aural and visual literacy, to develop one’s creative expression, and to embark on a life-long journey of learning and discovery.

Course Objectives:
 

The Performing Arts Program exposes students to basic elements of music, including rhythm, melody, tempo, dynamics, form, and vocal technique.  It develops creative expression through a variety of activities, including singing, game playing, movement, instrument playing.

Christmas Program Musical Performance

The Performing Arts Program seeks to combine applied music theory and creative expression through the school’s Christmas Program Musical.  The Christmas Program Performance seeks to minister not only within the body of believers but to the local community.  No acting experience is necessary — just a heart to serve the Lord in a fun, creative way.
