The Music and Arts Program at Arcadia Christian School explores and engages the diversity of talents within each individual student. Developing each student as a whole person, the Music and Arts Program imparts a joy for participating in God’s creative work by providing opportunities to use music and/or art to think critically and solve problems creatively, to develop aural and visual literacy, to develop one’s creative expression, and to embark on a life-long journey of learning and discovery.

The music program at Arcadia Christian School gives students the opportunity to develop and enhance musical skills as well as foster an appreciation for music.

Course Objectives:

The Music Program exposes students to basic elements of music, including rhythm, melody, tempo, dynamics, form, and vocal technique.  It develops creative expression through a variety of activities, including singing, game playing, movement, instrument playing.

Worship Arts

The Music and Arts Program at Arcadia Christian School explores and engages the diversity of talents within each individual student. Praise & Worship Team – 7th-8th Grades Elective Option

Course Objective

The Worship Arts Program seeks to use musical and/or technical talents to glorify God by preparing and leading worship music.  A variety of worship songs will be learned throughout the academic year.  The program aims to share these talents with both the school body of believers and the local community. The Praise and Worship Team will also be responsible for safely and properly setting up and putting away instruments and sound equipment

The Praise & Worship Team will be responsible for preparing and leading worship music for weekly chapel, the Junior High Retreat, the Christmas Program as well as community outreach events.  Praise & Worship Team rehearsals are every Friday at 8:15 AM, before Chapel.

Drums and Percussion

Private or group lessons specifically available for Arcadia Christian School students, ages 4 and up, on campus at an additional fee with Mike Victory, a drum teacher with almost 20 years of experience on the drums.

Lessons available before school, during recesses, or after school.
